         1845, in Hamletsburg, Illinois and died June 4, 1880, in Hamletsburg, Illinois.

#  2  Katherine Praver Neftzger, wife of Michael Neftzger, was born February 23, 1817, in

         Hainebach, Germany and died February 2, 1880, in New Liberty, Illinois.

#  3  Michael Millard Neftzger, son of Michael and Katherine Neftzger, was born February

         14, 1843, in Hamletsburg, Illinois and died March 3, 1872, in Hamletsburg, Illinois.

#  4 Virginia Hight Neftzger, first wife of Henry Franklin Neftzger, was born September 10,

         1855, in Pope County, Illinois and died November 22, 1874, in child birth after one

         years marriage in Pope County, Illinois.

#  5  Ona Irene Neftzger was born November 10, 1902, and died April 24, 1904.  I believe

        this to be the child of Michael and Ona Neftzger.

#  6  Henry William Neftzger, son of Henry and Virginia Neftzger, was born December 6,

        1883, in Pope County, Illinois and died April 24, 1885, in Pope County, Illinois.

#  7  Joannes Michael Neftzger, husband of Katherine Praver, was born August 28, 1813,

       in Großlellenfeld, Bavaria, Germany and died March 9, 1881 of broncheal asthma

       cold complicated by pneumonia in Golconda, Illinois.

#  8  Cannie McCawley Neftzger, second wife of Henry Franklin Neftzger, was born March

        15, 1857, in New Liberty, Illinois and died September 21, 1880, of tuberculosis in

        Pope County, Illinois.

#  9  Virginia Ann Stewart Neftzger, third wife of Henry Franklin Neftzger, was born April

        9, 1859, in New Liberty, Illinois and died July 20, 1929, of lock jaw in Hamletsburg,

        Illinois.

#10  Henry Franklin Neftzger, husband of Virginia Hight Neftzger, Cannie McCawley

        Neftzger and Virginia Ann Stewart Neftzger, was born June 12, 1851, in Smithland,

        Kentucky and died December 8, 1903, in New Liberty, Illinois.

#11  Charlie Neely, first husband of Maude Lucy Neftzger, was born March 4, 1876, in

        Pope County, Illinois, and died September 23, 1894, in Pope County, Illinois.

The Neftzger Family Burial Plot is located in the New Liberty Cemetery which has been forgotten in time and is now only a wooded area in the community of New Liberty, Illinois. New Liberty was once a bustling community in the mid 1800's with the Neftzger Family as an integral part of community life.  Today only a handful of houses populate this once thriving community.

This historic family plot is located in a wooded area in the New Liberty Cemetery that was once the center of the bustling community of New Liberty, Illinois.  In 1884 New Liberty was washed away in a flood and the Neftzger family settled on higher ground in Hamletsburg, Illinois.
